Our detailed review

What is Shine Facture in 2026?

Shine Facture is the invoicing tool offered by Shine. You create quotes and invoices from templates, customise the logo, colour and font, send them in two clicks, track their status (sent, paid, late) and set up automatic reminders for unpaid invoices. Issuing and receiving e-invoices compliant with the regulations are included.

One clarification to avoid the confusion many freelancers make: Shine is the business account (IBAN, cards, transfers, paid plans), whereas Shine Facture is the invoicing tool, free with the Free plan of the Shine account. If the business account is what you need, read our Shine review. Here, we are talking about invoicing.

Shine Facture is aimed at businesses registered in France (foreign freelancers based in France included).

What is free, and what is not

Here is what Shine states (as of October 2026). The free plan lets you create unlimited quotes and invoices, with the cap applying only to the number of clients. It includes receiving and issuing e-invoices, up to 10 receipts per month and connecting your bank account to match your expenses. Sign-up is done with an email address, with no bank card, and you get a 30-day trial of the paid features before choosing to stay on the free plan or move to a subscription.

Because the tool opens with a Shine account, the Free plan also includes a French IBAN, a virtual card and three free transfers or direct debits per month. Shine's paid plans mostly concern the banking side: Start at €11 excl. VAT (HT) per month (€9 billed annually), Plus at €25 (€20 billed annually) and Business at €60 (€45 billed annually).

What it does, and what it does not

Shine Facture covers the essentials of invoicing: quotes, invoices, payment tracking, reminders, e-invoicing and a mobile app. It does not replace a pre-accounting tool: no pre-filled URSSAF declaration (the French social contributions body) or VAT threshold tracking as in Abby, Indy or Freebe. To compare the options, we have gathered them in our invoicing software comparison.

What users say

Shine Facture has no review page of its own: the figures below cover Shine as a whole. On Trustpilot, Shine shows 4.6/5 ("Excellent") on 7,732 reviews as of 7 October 2026, including 1,746 over the last twelve months. We did not find a usable Google rating. Shine highlights 4.8 on the App Store and 4.6 on Google Play for its app, figures from the provider.

Positive reviews praise the quick account opening and responsive customer service. The criticism, a minority, concerns difficulty reaching support in some cases, funds blocked after a card pre-authorisation and invoicing bugs on VAT or currencies. According to Trustpilot, Shine invites its customers to leave a review and has replied to 3% of its negative reviews.

What we like less

Three reservations. The tool opens with a Shine account: if you only want invoicing software, you have to go through opening an account. The cap of the free plan applies to the number of clients, and the exact limit is not detailed on the page we checked. Finally, the reports of invoicing bugs on VAT or currencies are worth keeping in mind if you invoice abroad.

Shine Facture or another solution?

Our verdict

Shine Facture does what it promises: invoicing for free, without limits, with e-invoicing included and no bank card at sign-up. We recommend it to a freelancer who is starting out and wants a simple tool. Let's be clear: the tool opens with a Shine account, and the cap of the free plan applies to the number of clients, not invoices. For a full business account, read our Shine review; for a more complete invoicing tool, compare with Abby, Indy or Freebe.
