Our detailed review

What is Freebe in 2026?

Freebe is online invoicing and pre-accounting software for independent workers in France: quotes, invoices, cash flow tracking, bank synchronisation and preparation of the Urssaf declaration (Urssaf is the French body that collects social contributions). It targets micro-entrepreneurs first (France's simplified sole-trader status), but also exists for sole traders (EI), GIE and companies (SASU, EURL, SAS, SARL).

The idea is to replace the spreadsheet and manual reminders with a single tool. It is not an expert-comptable (chartered accountant): Freebe prepares and organises, it does not certify any accounts.

Freebe is built for activities registered in France. If you are a foreign freelancer set up in France (micro-entrepreneur, sole trader or company), it works for you like for any French freelancer.

What you get

You create quotes, invoices, deposits and credit notes, with numbering and legal mentions, and Freebe states compliance with the 2026 e-invoicing reform. On the Urssaf side, the tool connects to your account, pre-fills your revenue declaration, calculates your contributions and tracks your VAT exemption thresholds. The VAT return is announced as coming. You can also sync more than 450 banks, reconcile your payments automatically, keep the revenue book and the purchase register, get paid by card or bank transfer with no commission from Freebe and track your time with a timer.

Pricing

Here is what Freebe's pricing page shows (checked in October 2026). The price depends on your status, and all features are included whatever the plan: no hidden option or tier to unlock. For a micro-entreprise, the annual subscription comes to €12.50 a month, that is €150 incl. VAT a year, no commitment, which saves €30 a year compared with monthly billing at €15 a month. Quarterly billing gives an 11% discount. For EI, GIE and companies, a specific price is shown after choosing your status: we do not reproduce it here as we could not verify it for each one.

There is no permanent free plan, but 30 days free with all features, no bank card. Through our link, you get €30 offered: the conditions are on the Freebe deal page.

What users say

On Trustpilot, Freebe shows 4.6/5 (“Excellent”) over 28 reviews as of 7 October 2026, including 15 over the last twelve months. We did not find a usable Google listing. Users, often customers for two to four years, praise very simple quotes and invoices, the automatic conversion of an accepted quote into an invoice, the pre-filled Urssaf declaration, up-to-date legal mentions and an attentive customer service.

To read this rating with perspective: the volume is low, all visible reviews are spontaneous and positive, and according to Trustpilot Freebe has not recently invited its customers to leave a review. The website also highlights a 4.9/5 rating over more than 500 reviews, a figure from the publisher that we cannot verify.

What we like less

Three reservations. There is no permanent free plan: after 30 days you have to pay, while other tools keep a free version. Then, Freebe does not replace certified accounting: a company will usually keep an expert-comptable. Finally, hindsight: few public reviews, so few critical returns to pin down the limits. The 30-day trial with no bank card is precisely there to test before paying.

Our verdict

Freebe is a simple and well-rated tool to handle the invoicing and pre-accounting of a micro-entreprise, with a pre-filled Urssaf declaration and a 30-day trial with no card. We recommend it to those who want to offload the admin without an accountant. There is no permanent free plan, and the price for statuses other than the micro-entreprise has to be checked on the pricing page. Trustpilot reviews are positive but few (28).

Yes, there is a price for EI, GIE, SASU, SAS, EURL and SARL (French sole-trader and company forms), but the tool does pre-accounting and invoicing, not certified accounting. A company usually keeps an expert-comptable, to whom Freebe lets you export the data.
