Indy (formerly Georges) is online accounting software for independent workers, companies and SCI (French property holding companies). The tool syncs your bank account, categorises your transactions, attaches your receipts, detects VAT and prepares your tax filings. Indy claims more than 650,000 independent workers supported.
Its particularity is to gather in one place the business account, e-invoicing, accounting and filings, with a free basic plan and paid tiers that gradually add automation and then an expert-comptable (chartered accountant).
Indy is built for activities registered in France. If you are a foreign freelancer set up in France (micro-entrepreneur, sole trader or company), it works for you like for any French freelancer.
Here is what Indy's pricing page shows (checked in October 2026, excl. VAT). The price depends on your status: micro-entreprise (France's simplified sole-trader status), sole trader (EI), company or SCI. The Essentiel plan is free: e-invoicing, unlimited quotes and invoices, automated accounting, business account with IBAN and card, customer service by email. The Plus plan costs €9 a month billed annually (€108 a year, €12 monthly) and adds recurring invoices, reminders for unpaid invoices, e-signature of quotes, 3 sub-accounts and chat support.
The Autonomie plan, the most popular, adds automated and electronically filed tax returns, the annual accounts depending on the status, the tax guarantee and unlimited advice from specialists. For a micro, it starts at €15 a month billed annually (€180 a year, €19 monthly); for an EI, it costs €28 a month; for a company or an EI taxed at IS (corporate tax), €59 a month billed monthly. Finally, Sérénité hands your filings and annual accounts to a partner expert-comptable, with 3 hours of meetings a year, from €63 a month billed annually (€81 to €87 monthly depending on the status).
On commitment, Indy states that the monthly subscription has no commitment and can be paused in two clicks. Our partnership provides one month free through our link; as the Essentiel plan is free anyway, check the conditions on the Indy deal page when you subscribe.
Three things stand out. Invoicing and the business account are free, which is rare. The automation of accounting and filings (URSSAF social contributions, VAT, CFE local business tax, forms 2035, 2065 and 2033 as applicable) avoids manual entry. And the upgrade path is gradual: you can start for free and move to a partner expert-comptable without changing tool. Indy also states an average response time of 2 minutes in the chat in 2026, a figure from the publisher.
On Trustpilot, Indy shows 4.8/5 (“Excellent”) over 15,713 reviews as of 7 October 2026, including 6,095 over the last twelve months: a very high and very recent volume. On Google, Indy's listing shows 4.8/5 over 708 reviews. Users mention the simplicity of the interface, the invoicing, attentive advisors and useful webinars.
Criticisms exist and concern support: a few long-standing customers describe less human exchanges, with a virtual assistant that sometimes sends you away without an answer, waiting times and procedures such as the capital deposit judged slow. Indy replies to these reviews, usually by suggesting to contact support.
To read these ratings with perspective: according to Trustpilot, Indy regularly invites its customers to leave a review, which partly explains the volume, and replies to 93% of its negative reviews.
Three reservations. The price depends on the status and climbs fast for a company: €59 a month billed monthly for the Autonomie plan, before the expert-comptable. Then support: recent reviews regret a less human support than before. Finally, automation does not replace tailored advice: for a company with complex needs, the Sérénité plan with an expert-comptable becomes necessary.

15,713 reviews
Rated “Excellent” over a very large volume (6,095 reviews over the last 12 months). Users praise the simplicity of the interface, the invoicing, the support and attentive advisors. Criticisms concern waiting times, a less human support with a virtual assistant that sometimes dodges the question, and procedures such as the capital deposit judged slow. According to Trustpilot, Indy regularly invites its customers to leave a review.
Indy is one of the most complete and best-rated solutions to handle your accounting on your own: an already rich free plan (business account, invoicing, automated accounting), then paid plans that gradually add more support. We recommend it to most independent workers in France, especially micro-entrepreneurs and sole traders (EI). The point to watch: the price depends on the status and climbs with the filings, and recent reviews regret a less accessible human support, replaced by a virtual assistant.
