How FreelanceKit earns its living, how we choose the listed tools, and how our editorial independence is protected.
FreelanceKit is free for its readers. To fund the time spent on research, writing and maintenance, we use affiliate links: when you click a link to a partner tool and subscribe to an offer, we receive a commission from that tool. The price you pay stays the same: the commission comes out of the tool's margin, not from you.
All listed tools are selected for their relevance to French-speaking freelancers and solopreneurs, not according to their affiliate programme. We analyse the tools, read user reviews, compare features, and only list what honestly seems useful to us. A tool can be on FreelanceKit without being an affiliate, and an affiliate tool can get a mixed review if we think it is necessary.
Affiliate commissions do not influence the content of our reviews, comparisons and rankings. We do not accept payment to change a rating, remove a criticism or favour a tool. If a commercial partner asks us to remove an unfavourable review, we refuse, even if it means losing the commission.
Every page containing affiliate links has a banner at the top reminding you of it. Technically, these links carry the HTML attribute rel="sponsored" as recommended by Google. You can therefore identify at any time that a link is an affiliate link.
Because we believe a freelancer deserves to know how the site they are reading works. And because French law (article L.121-1 of the Consumer Code) and Google's guidelines (Reviews System) require this transparency. But above all: because it is simpler that way.
