Our detailed review

What is Carrd in 2026?

Carrd is a one-page site builder: landing page, presentation page, minimalist portfolio, link in bio. You start from a template, edit the blocks, publish. There is no code to write and pages adapt to mobile screens. Its argument is the price: a free plan, then Pro plans billed annually, for a few dollars.

For a freelancer, it is typically the page you set up in an afternoon to test an offer, collect emails or have a professional address to share. It is not a tool for building a full site with several pages, and that is the first thing to understand before getting started.

Pricing

Here is what Carrd's website and documentation show (checked in October 2026, in dollars, annual billing). The free plan allows 3 sites on a carrd.co subdomain, with the "Made with Carrd" branding. Pro Lite costs $9 a year: it removes the Carrd branding and allows 3 sites. Pro Standard costs $19 a year: custom domain with SSL, forms (contact, sign-up to email tools, payment), widgets and embeds, analytics, and up to 10 sites. Carrd describes it as by far the most popular Pro plan. Pro Plus costs $49 a year: 25 sites, custom forms, advanced settings and download of the site's source.

Carrd also offers a 7-day trial of a subset of the Pro features, with no payment or credit card. For most freelancers, the useful tier is Pro Standard: it is the one that gives you your domain name and forms.

What you can do with it

A landing page for a specific offer (audit, coaching, workshop), a presentation page with a contact form, a pre-launch page that collects emails, a visual portfolio with a few projects or a link in bio. Forms connect to tools such as Mailchimp, MailerLite, Brevo, Kit or Beehiiv, and you can embed Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad or Typeform. For tracking, Carrd relies on Google Analytics, Plausible or Matomo.

What users say

Public reviews are few. Trustpilot shows 3.1/5 ("Average") over 61 reviews as of 7 October 2026, including 18 over the last twelve months, and we did not find a usable Google listing. The profile is not claimed by the company and, according to Trustpilot, it does not invite its customers to review: the rating therefore only reflects those who wrote on their own initiative, and is not representative of the mass of users.

Among the reviews we were able to read, one user praises the quick creation of a landing page and a fair price. We do not have enough detailed reviews to identify a trend on support or recurring problems: take the time to try the free offer or the Pro trial before committing.

What we like less

Two fundamental reservations. Carrd remains limited to a single page: if you need a blog, several detailed sections or a site built for SEO, you will need another tool. And the features useful to a freelancer (custom domain, forms, analytics) are in the Pro Standard plan: the free plan and Pro Lite are not enough for serious use.

Our verdict

Carrd does one thing and does it well: one page, fast, for a few dollars a year. We recommend it to freelancers who want to test an offer, collect emails or have a professional page without building a full site. For a site with several pages (blog, detailed portfolio, SEO), look at Framer or Webflow instead. Trustpilot reviews are few (61) and the 3.1/5 rating does not say much that is precise.
